Description

What You Will Receive: One (1) live Peanut Tree (Sterculia) plant, each 4-6 inches tall, shipped bare-root, healthy, and securely packaged in eco-friendly materials, ready for immediate planting. Note: Most images depict mature plants for reference.

Unusual Edible Seeds: Produces woody seed pods containing nut-like seeds that are roasted and eaten similarly to peanuts.

Striking Ornamental Form: Grows into a handsome tree with bold foliage, valued as a conversation-starting landscape specimen.

Low Pest Pressure: Generally trouble-free, with few pest or disease issues once established.

Warm-Climate Grower: Thrives in USDA Zones 9-11 in full sun to partial shade, and is drought tolerant once established.

The Peanut Tree is a true conversation piece, producing woody pods of nut-like seeds that are roasted and eaten much like peanuts. Handsome and largely trouble-free, it makes an unusual, low-maintenance specimen tree for Zones 9-11.
