The plants are shipping 4 to 8 inches tall with nice roots ready to plant and grow nice berries right away.

Hardy zone: 3-9

This is a cold-hardy, old variety from Denmark; it was found growing in an ancient viking village site. Plants are low-growing, which makes them harder to spot by birds and also protects the delicate fruit from frost. These berries are a medium-sized June bearer with a great flavor; fruit sets early. Very rare and hard to find. Please consider these terms before ordering live plants: Most plants will be 3”-7” in height. All plants will ship weekly as available from the first of March to the end of May. Please make sure you are ready for your order in your zone as these young, tender plants generally have no resistance to cold.

Plants cannot tolerate a hard freeze; however, northern growers can grow them in hanging baskets and bring them indoors in the winter or grow them outdoors simply for their gorgeous flowers (but no fruit). Plant outdoors after chance of frost has passed. Choose a sunny site with well-drained soil. Trellis or stake plants to keep them from taking over the garden, as they will otherwise grow into a tangled mess! Prune vines to create airflow and to promote fruiting

One of the best online nurseries I’ve bought from!

Gorgeous healthy strawberry plants! I’ve kept 3 in pots in my greenhouse per instructions and decided to risk it and plant the other 3 directly in my strawberry patch (note: the instructions clearly tell you not to do this! So if you do and they die, that’s on you!) The ones in the patch struggled a bit for a few days, so they’re slightly behind the ones in the greenhouse (my greenhouse sterbs could be on the cover of Strawberries Monthly), but all 6 are healthy and thriving and sending up new leaves.

These were honestly some of the healthiest, most securely packed plants I’ve ever received in the mail. I normally panic when I get a box of bare root plants and can’t get them in the ground THAT SECOND, but these guys (and their friends) were in such good shape that I felt ok letting them hang out for a day before getting them fully unpacked and potted.

10/10 experience, I bought from this nursery at random but will absolutely be a repeat customer. The care they have for their product is evident from the packaging, the instructions, and how green and lush the plants look right out of the box.
