The Parfianka is considered the most delicious pomegranate of them all.
The Parfianka pomegranate is a delicious and low-maintenance addition to your yard. The fruit is quite large and highly colored in beautiful bright red and can be grown in the cooler regions of the United States, similar to the Russian #26. The arils are large and bright red with a very small, soft, edible seed. Vigorous upright plant sets a heavy crop dependably. The fruit is of the highest quality and is consistently rated the most flavorful pomegranate in tasting trials. Great for juicing or fresh eating. Produces heavy crops at a young age. It does require 100 to 200 chill hours to set flower and fruit; it is self-fruitful. Maturity height and width can reach 10 ft, but will also keep well at 7 feet with pruning. It is cold hardy in USDA Zones 7-10.
