Thrives in Shade: One of the better flowering choices for shaded beds, where it blooms reliably with less sun than most flowering shrubs need.

Pollinator Favorite: The nectar-rich plumes are a strong draw for hummingbirds and butterflies.

Easy Care: Thrives in USDA Zones 9-11 in partial shade with consistently moist, rich soil, and benefits from occasional pruning to stay full.

Justicia carnea, the Brazilian Plume, brings showy pink flower plumes to parts of the garden too shaded for most flowering plants. A reliable hummingbird and butterfly draw, it thrives in partial shade with moist soil in Zones 9-11, rewarding minimal care with months of color.
