-
Distinctive "Butterfly" Blooms: Upgrade your garden with a rare twist on the classic trumpet vine. The 'Golden Butterfly' features unique, wavy-edged petals that flutter in the breeze, resembling yellow butterflies. Unlike standard varieties, these blooms offer a textured, sophisticated look against glossy, dark green foliage.
-
Versatile Growth Habit: Tailor this plant to your space. While it naturally wants to vine, this variety responds beautifully to pruning, allowing you to maintain it as a bushy shrub in patio containers or let it climb a trellis, fence, or mailbox for a vertical wall of sunshine. It is perfect for framing entryways.
-
A Beacon for Wildlife: Transform your yard into a pollinator sanctuary. The bright, open throat of the trumpet flowers acts as a magnet for hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees, bringing movement and life to your garden from early summer until the first frost.
-
Ironclad Heat Resistance: Stop worrying about wilting plants. The Golden Butterfly is a tropical warrior that thrives in scorching heat and high humidity. It is an ideal choice for "hot spots" in your yard where other delicate flowers fail, providing reliable color when you need it most.
-
Care & Guarantee: Unpack immediately. Shipped bare-root/semi-bare root with moisture gel to ensure eco-friendly, safe transit. It is normal for Allamandas to drop a few leaves due to shipping stress; this is a survival mechanism. We guarantee healthy arrival; please contact us with photos within 24 hours if issues arise.
-
Quick Care Tip: Plant in rich, well-draining soil. Water thoroughly. Keep in a shaded area for 48 hours to recover from travel, then gradually move to Full Sun to encourage the heavy blooming this variety is famous for.
Bring the Radiance of the Tropics Home
Infuse your outdoor space with the cheerful energy of the sun. The Allamanda ‘Golden Butterfly’ is a spectacular variation of the classic Yellow Trumpet Vine, prized for its unique floral architecture. Unlike the standard flat petals of common varieties, 'Golden Butterfly' boasts fluted, wavy edges that give the flower a dynamic, fluttering appearance. Whether you are brightening up a balcony or covering a fence line, this plant delivers a "resort-style" aesthetic that instantly upgrades your curb appeal.
Non-Stop Color, All Season Long
Why settle for plants that bloom once and vanish? This Allamanda is a workhorse bloomer. In tropical climates (Zones 9-11), it provides year-round color. In cooler zones, it acts as a show-stopping summer annual, producing wave after wave of large, golden-yellow trumpets from late spring until the first chill of autumn. Its glossy, leathery leaves provide a lush, deep green backdrop that looks healthy and vibrant even when not in bloom.
Adaptable to Your Design
The 'Golden Butterfly' gives you options. Naturally a scrambling shrub, it can be trained to climb a trellis for vertical interest or pruned into a rounded bush for large decorative pots. This makes it an excellent choice for framing doorways, lining pool decks, or creating privacy screens.
Low Maintenance, High Reward
This plant is designed for the gardener who wants maximum impact with minimal stress. It is naturally deer-resistant (they dislike the milky sap) and has few pest problems. It simply craves sunshine and water. If you live in a hot, humid area, this plant will be the star performer of your garden while others struggle to survive.
