Main Color: White (Blooms), Black (Fruit)
Sun Exposure: Full sun (6+ hours)
Blooming Period: Spring
Moisture Needs: Regular watering
USDA Hardiness Zone Range: 6-10
Mature Height: In containers: 4-5 feet, In ground: 5-6 feet
Ideal Soil Type: Loam soil, Sandy soil (Well-draining, pH 6.0-6.8)
Care Instructions:
Plant in full sun (6+ hours) in well-draining, slightly acidic soil (pH 6.0-6.8). Dig a hole deep enough for roots to spread straight down. Water thoroughly after planting and maintain consistent moisture (1 inch/week), especially during fruit development. Mulch base to retain water and suppress weeds. Because Osage is erect, tipping canes at 4-5 feet encourages lateral branching and more fruit. Prune old fruiting canes to the ground in winter.
