One of the top performing yellow Bougainvillea varieties, 'California Gold' is a free-owering, vigorous, evergreen shrub or vine with clusters of warm golden yellow, papery bracts surrounding tiny creamy-white flowers.
Blooming periodically throughout the year in warm winter areas, and from summer to fall elsewhere, the colorful blossoms give way to small inconspicuous.
The flowers are borne on stems clad with short thorns and dull, wavy-edged, ovate green leaves. They do not cling and may require tying for support.

I ordered this two-pack of starter plants and received 4 plants! All four were healthy, thin-stemmed but about 7 inches tall with 5-7 leaves. Very happy with the amount of roots, a small golfball sized bundle of them is more than enough for a starter. Nicely packaged too! Now all there is to do is wait to see those gold bracts grow in 🌱
