Banana Aphids
Banana aphids cluster on the undersides of leaves and new growth, causing curling and stunted growth. Insecticidal soap or a strong spray of water usually knocks them back quickly.

Spider mites thrive in hot, dry conditions and cause fine stippling or webbing on leaves. Regular misting and increased humidity around the plant helps prevent infestations before they start.
Banana Weevils
Banana weevils bore into the pseudostem, weakening the plant from the inside. Keeping the base of the plant free of decaying plant matter reduces the conditions weevils need to lay eggs.
